Clare Blackwood is an actor and singer based in Toronto. She is a member of ACTRA as an Apprentice, a proud graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies program at Sheridan College and UofT Mississauga, and a recent graduate of The Second City’s famous Conservatory program.
She has worked and studied with many of Toronto’s most exciting independent companies, and well-known artists from theatres such as Stratford and Soulpepper, with a focus on Shakespearean performance. Her on-camera training includes Pro Actor’s Lab, The Dirt Underneath Actors’ Space, Lynne Cormack, and more.
Clare is also a writer and producer. She co-wrote and starred in the sold-out Welcome to the Bunker! at the 2017 Toronto Fringe, and co-wrote, directed and starred in her first short film this year. She is currently a writer for The Beaverton and has multiple film writing projects in development.
